After six months of Interferon and Ribavirin treatments for Hepatitis C, I was informed by my doctor that I was at zero viral count, inspiring me to create this painting. It was a return to painting after a six month intermission. So it also represents an artistic victory as well. Shown here is an impressionistic view of the battle and the victory of the white blood cell “warriors” over the larger “evil” viruses within my blood. Based on actual microphotographs, the Hepatitis C virus bodies and white blood cells are shown at relative sizes.
