A tribute to Rene Magritte, one of the greatest symbolist/ surrealist artists of all time. I wanted to reinterpret his famous painting of apples raining down on a city street. In 1968, I began to substitute an applecore for the "I" in Inglis when signing my artwork. This practice evolved into the golden logo seen here. When creating this painting, I envisioned the cores slowly descending in front of the golden cranes in the backcground.
